The longitudinal curriculum is composed of the above Core Competency Curriculum documents. Each curriculum describes the current methods of instruction and evaluation for a single Core Competency. Following the primary Core Competency Curriculum documents is a summation of learning objectives, representing the collected competency objectives appropriate for PGY1, 2, or 3 trainees.
Please familiarize yourself with these documents. As a longitudinal curriculum, they establish expectations for teaching, evaluation, and resident-directed personal development. They also provide the framework for the individual block rotation curricula, which are separately posted. We wish all residents joy and self-discovery as you fully engage in your profession, mastering competence and achieving excellence.
The documents are in PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing, which may be downloaded for free from www.adobe.com.
