• MSU's College of Human Medicine actively supports clinical investigation. Learn about current research faculty and medical school supports through the Office of Research for Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
• Residents may also contact Clare Luz, PhD, who is the Research Director for the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (Lansing campus). • The Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies is a comprehensive website with numerous resources for MSU research scientists.
• This manual is a comprehensive Human Research Protection (HRP) Manual that includes policies and procedures for UCRIHS and CRIRB. The manual provides unified, detailed information in an easily accessible format for the MSU community.
• The College of Human Medicine has teamed up with the Center for Statistical Training and Consulting (CSTAT) to provide you with access and training for your statistical needs. CSTAT is a professional service and research unit at Michigan State University. The service is provided free of charge to typical CSTAT users. Visit CSTAT today at www.cstat.msu.edu to sign up for a free consultation session to learn how CSTAT is able to assist you.

• The Resources for New Investigators website at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) addresses the needs of young investigators applying for funding from the NIH for the first time. While NIH funding is not usually obtained by residents, the site has a wealth of information regarding grant-funded clinical investigation.

• Anwar et al., BMJ (2003), 327:153-154 provides a guideline for writing case reports. This paper may be accessed through MSU online library resource.

• The presentation of "Developing A Research Project During Residency," M. Hassan Pervaiz, MD, provides tips for clinical investigation projects.

• The article "The Art of Oral Presentations" provides tips on giving a successful presentation.
